Dock Tales, Part Four
We surveyed the summit of the 7-acre lot, but I wasn’t feeling it. We drove down to the bottom – a flat area on Lake James otherwise surrounded by steep slopes. I was intrigued. “Can we walk here from the top?” I asked. “Time’s short and it’s really rough terrain,” the Realtor said.
As we hiked, I thought I heard water. “A creek?” I asked. “There’s no creek on this lot,” he chuckled. ” If there was, this price would have been much higher.”
When we stumbled onto the gorgeous stream, I realized the lot checked my four boxes. So I signed.
