Getting a Shed Start

by Michael Polzella

Dock Tales, Part 11

When Bennick Grading finished the small gravel car path to a flat spot above my dock, I knew what I needed to do next: buy a bunch of stuff – primarily tents, floats and landscaping tools.

Being the city boy I was, it didn’t take me too long to realize I couldn’t keep hauling this stuff on the four-hour drive back home. So that influenced what I needed to buy next: a place to hold all my new stuff.

My new HOA rules allowed one utility building per parcel, but stipulated it could not be imported. It had to be “stick-built.”
